International Women’s Day
I’m taking a moment to reflect today on how lucky I am to live in a world where International Women’s Day can be a celebration as well as a call to action. While I do not ignore the injustices done against women around the world to this day, we have made so much progress and that should be acknowledged and celebrated.
I am so glad that I call so many wonderful women my friends, mentors, colleagues and family members, and would like to introduce you to just a few. They are journalists, athletes, educators, and engineers. They create, laugh, inspire, tackle local and global issues, and raise families. It would be redundant to say they are strong women, and I am lucky to know them.
