New classes at ASFM: my expectations

I have thought quite a bit about how to outline my expectations for students at the beginning of this school year. I want my expectations to be simple and straightforward, to express my core values about teaching and to actually get through to students rather than being a piece of paper that they discard.

Here’s the handout I prepared for my grade 11 class, which is very similar to the grade 9 version: Welcome handout. I’m sure it will change for next year as I evaluate what worked and what didn’t, but for now I’m pleased with it. I also put up my “3 + 3 Expectations” in class, as seen to the left.
